Job Description

We are looking for a thoughtful and dependable (Part-Time) Accounting Manager to oversee the financial activities of a church and its associated school in Henderson, Nevada. This part-time position supports sound stewardship through accurate reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, and practical financial insight for organizational leaders. The role will work closely with internal leadership and external partners to help maintain strong financial practices and support long-term planning during a period of campus growth and capital campaign activity.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day accounting operations for the church and school, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports that provide leadership with clear visibility into operating results, cash flow, and budget performance.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and general ledger review.
  • Administer payroll-related accounting activities and help ensure compliance with applicable policies and reporting requirements.
  • Support the development, monitoring, and refinement of annual budgets in partnership with church and school leadership.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to assist leaders, council members, and stakeholders with planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and coordinate documentation needed for financial statement audits and other external reviews.
  • Help manage financial oversight related to the capital campaign and campus expansion, including reporting, cash planning, and tracking of designated funds.
