Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role will oversee critical accounting functions, including corporate consolidations, financial reporting, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial processes in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform corporate consolidation tasks, including elimination entries and consolidated financial reporting.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
- Oversee SOX compliance activities, including testing and reporting for regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and supporting schedules for audits and executive summaries.
- Conduct account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze financial activity and prepare roll-forwards for fixed assets, intangibles, prepaids, and other equity securities.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of 10-K/10-Q footnotes and technical accounting memorandums.
- Record and reconcile activity for equity method investments and consolidation method investments.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.
- Execute ad hoc projects as assigned to address organizational needs. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with financial statement audits and compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing corporate consolidations.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
