This in-office leadership role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and internal controls, while managing a remote overseas team that supports Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about the opportunity to grow alongside the organization. This position offers a clear career path for a high-performing individual seeking to advance into a Controller and potentially an executive role as the company continues to scale. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workflows across time zones. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Supervise and manage a remote overseas team responsible for AR and AP functions Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and working capital Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes Coordinate with external CPA, tax advisors, and auditors Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Analyze financial performance, margins, and operational costs Support leadership with financial insights and decision-making Implement and optimize accounting systems and workflows Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, with leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience managing AR/AP teams (remote or offshore preferred) Ability to manage international/overseas staff and workflows Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage preferred Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA preferred Experience with freight brokerage systems or TMS platforms Experience working with international teams What We Offer Stable, in-office leadership role Opportunity to build and improve financial processes Growing company with advancement potential Competitive compensation About Us We are a transportation brokerage focused on delivering reliable and efficient logistics solutions.
