Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Galaxy Auto Place is a well-established independent automotive dealership with over 30 years in business, and we are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Manager to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be an important part of a growing business. This is a hands-on role that combines accounting, organization, operational support, and process improvement in a fast-paced but team-oriented environment. We value professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and people who genuinely care about doing things the right way.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Accounts Payable and vendor management
  • Account reconciliations and schedule maintenance
  • Assisting with month-end accounting processes
  • Dealership accounting and administrative support
  • Monitoring and improving office procedures and workflows
  • Reviewing transactions for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinating with vendors, staff, and ownership
  • Assisting with payroll, billing, title, and office operations as needed
  • Helping create organized and efficient systems This role may also assist with accounting and administrative functions related to affiliated real estate and operating businesses owned by the company.
The ideal candidate enjoys variety, is highly organized, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a professional environment.
Qualifications:
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Accounting degree or comparable accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with reconciliations, month-end processes, and dealership accounting systems preferred
  • Experience with Dealertrack or dealership DMS systems is a plus
  • Strong accounting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong follow-through
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
