In person Position Summary The Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager supports the management and optimization of the healthcare revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding coordination, billing, collections, and denial management. This role assists in supervising revenue cycle staff, ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements, and improving processes that support accurate and timely reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Operations Support oversight of end-to-end revenue cycle functions, including registration, charge capture, billing, and collections Ensure timely and accurate claim submission to all payer types Monitor workflow efficiency and address operational bottlenecks Assist in maintaining standardized processes across the revenue cycle Leadership & Training Assist in supervising revenue cycle staff, including scheduling and daily task coordination Provide training, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback Promote accountability and adherence to departmental goals Serve as the go-to resource for complex billing questions and payer issues Revenue Cycle Performance & Improvement Collaborate with management and providers to optimize charge capture and reimbursement Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to reduce revenue leakage Support organizational goals through strong revenue cycle oversight Compliance & Communication Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OIG, CMS, and payer-specific regulations Communicate regularly with providers, coders, and staff to resolve billing discrepancies Stay current with coding, billing, and reimbursement updates to keep the team informed and compliant Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of medical billing experience, with 1 year prior supervisory or lead experience required CPC, CPB, or equivalent credential preferred Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Proficiency with practice management and EHR systems Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Why You'll Love Working Here Play a key leadership role in an essential department that drives organizational success Opportunities for professional growth in billing management and revenue cycle leadership Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with matching, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid time off Supportive team culture built on collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement Be part of a healthcare organization that values your expertise, attention to detail, and drive for excellence Apply Today If you're ready to take the next step in your medical billing career and lead a team that's passionate about accuracy, compliance, and results, apply today to join the UB Associates team!
