Summary:
The Manager, Patient Financial Services will have direct oversight for the Supervisors, Accounts Receivable Specialists, and Audit Appeals Specialist responsible for audit appeals, billing, denials, and follow up, to include inpatient and outpatient services, for all payers, including all government and non-government plans. Works closely with Contract Management team to oversee and assist with the root causes contributing to recurring incorrect reimbursement and identification of root causes. This job will require strong communication skills, demonstrated problem solving skills, and excellent analytical skills. Requires the ability to successfully interact with and partner with all departments across Catholic Health, both clinical and financial. This position requires the ability to inspire trust of the team that is being supported, encourage a culture of transparency and accountability, with strong mentoring skills. Additional responsibilities will involve managing the ongoing review and analysis of EPIC Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, and Financial Pulse goals. Directly managing work for the teams, mentoring teams through coaching, active knowledge transfer, and support in difficult situations. Will remove obstacles for the team, both from a technology and operational perspective. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required; concentration in business, health services administration or related field preferred Associate's degree with five (5) additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of relevant management experience Minimum five (5) years of experience in business related field Significant experience in acute care accounts receivable management Experience with managing large teams Experience with business process re-engineering and change management desired Demonstrated experience in mentoring staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Expertise in business area Proven leadership ability Analytical and problem solving skills Strong communication skills Ability to take initiative by identifying problems, conceptualizing resolutions, and implementing change Strong interpersonal skills Proficient with MS office - Excel and Word Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
