Job Description:
Fund Accounting Manager New York, New York- Hybrid $125,000-155,000 + bonus + equity We are seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join the largest private capital fund administrators in the market. The platform administers in private capital across buyout, infrastructure, venture, credit, and hybrid fund strategies. The Manager will independently own day-to-day fund accounting and operations for an existing fund, interface directly with sponsor clients, and perform multi-level review of financial reports, capital events, and complex transactions. The role offers deep exposure to the full private equity fund lifecycle, including newly launched and first-to-market funds.
Responsibilities :
Work closely with the Director and leadership managing daily fund operations Manage the operations and accounting of an existing fund independently Interface with and manage client relationships with limited senior oversight Review Limited Partnership Agreements and other governing documents, extract key economics, and document thorough summaries Manage and mentor accounting staff Oversee initial setup of client fund deliverables including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, and IRR calculations Perform thorough multi-level review of financial reports, capital events, and complex private equity transactions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of relevant Private Equity Fund experience Sound knowledge of Investment Company Accounting under ASC 946 Working knowledge of fund economics including waterfalls and investor allocations IFRS and GAAP reporting experience for investment funds Prior fund administration platform experience is a plus
