We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Cycle Coordinator with strong expertise in medical billing, insurance reimbursement, and denial management to help drive financial performance and revenue optimization. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned healthcare revenue cycle professional who thrives in environments that value ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Job Summary - Senior Revenue Cycle Coordinator The Senior Revenue Cycle Coordinator is responsible for managing the full revenue cycle lifecycle in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting. This includes insurance verification, benefits analysis, claims management, denial resolution, reimbursement tracking, and collaboration with billing partners and internal teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring clean claims, timely reimbursement, payer compliance, and reduced revenue leakage. Key Responsibilities - Revenue Cycle Management Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including eligibility verification, benefits review, authorization validation, charge review, claims submission, and reconciliation Collaborate with the center's billing/management company to monitor claims, resolve discrepancies, and improve reimbursement outcomes Perform denial management and appeals, including root-cause analysis of underpayments and payer denials Ensure all claims are supported by complete, accurate, and compliant documentation Maintain expert-level knowledge of in-network and out-of-network reimbursement, ASC billing rules, and payer policies Partner with front office teams to ensure accurate insurance verification, benefit interpretation, and patient responsibility collection Identify revenue cycle inefficiencies and recommend process improvements Stay current on payer updates, coding changes, compliance requirements, and healthcare revenue cycle best practices Act as a subject matter expert for complex payer issues and reimbursement questions Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing & Coding, Health Information Management, or related field preferred 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience Experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC), or outpatient surgery strongly preferred Proven experience with medical billing, insurance claims, denial resolution, and payer follow-up Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (SIS experience highly preferred) Strong knowledge of payer portals, clearinghouses, and reimbursement systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, tracking, analysis) Revenue integrity and compliance-focused mindset Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage high-volume revenue workflows Proactive problem-solver with a results-driven approach Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Time Holiday Pay Why Join Peakpoint Flatiron?
