Columbus, OH Salary Range:
$120,000–$140,000 A professional services organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger, audit, and tax activities while managing day‑to‑day accounting operations. This role leads a small accounting team and ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities of the
Accounting Manager:
Manage the general ledger and month‑end/year‑end close processes Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Oversee trust accounting and daily cash flow management Manage banking relationships and bank reconciliations Serve as primary contact for external auditors and coordinate annual audits Oversee tax compliance and coordinate filings with external advisors Supervise accounting staff, including payroll and accounts payable Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Identify and implement process and system improvements Preferred Qualifications of the
Accounting Manager:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior people management experience preferred Professional services experience a plus Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, audits, and taxation #
