Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and support our growing accounting team. This role oversees daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, improves processes, and supports leadership with timely and meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing and distribution, a strong understanding of cost accounting, and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Oversee daily AP, AR, billing, and general ledger activities. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all accounting processes. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts. Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide variance analysis. Support senior leadership with financial modeling and forecasts. Manufacturing & Distribution Accounting Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis. Partner with Operations to ensure accurate tracking of materials, freight, and production costs. Analyze inventory adjustments, scrap, and physical inventory results. Process Improvements & Controls Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. Implement best practices across the department. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with project management, sales, and operations to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. Support audits and tax preparation activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing or distribution industry experience. 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Employee Benefits Health Insurance
