Job Description
Century Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting functions for our manufacturing operation. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, managing daily payables and receivables, and helping ensure that inventory, costing, and ERP transactions accurately reflect business activity. This is a hands-on accounting position that will work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Corporate Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, manufacturing experience, and the ability to support a growing business by improving processes, reporting, and financial visibility. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting activity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, reconciliations, and transaction review. Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules. Maintain accurate inventory and manufacturing accounting records. Review inventory transactions, adjustments, purchasing activity, labor reporting, scrap, rework, and manufacturing variances. Support product costing, standard cost updates, profitability analysis, and inventory valuation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for ownership and corporate finance leadership. Help maintain ERP accounting accuracy and support future ERP/process improvement initiatives. Partner with department leaders to provide timely financial information and identify risks, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of accounting experience. Working knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles. Experience supporting month-end close. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. ERP/accounting system experience. Ability to manage daily AP and AR responsibilities in a hands-on environment. Multi-site manufacturing experience. Budgeting and forecasting experience. This person should understand how accounting connects to inventory, production, purchasing, labor, and operational performance. They should also be willing to help build stronger systems and processes as the company continues to grow.
