- $110,000 | Full-Time | In-Office (Swan Island, Portland OR) About Us Locally and family-owned HVAC company serving Portland since 1961 $10 million per year operation — independently owned and proud of it Collaborative team environment with direct access to ownership and leadership The Role Key in-house accounting position working alongside ownership, the General Manager, and a third-party CPA You will own the accounting function with a high degree of independence and trust Responsibilities Own and maintain the general ledger; perform reconciliations on a regular schedule Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, adjustments, and corrections Lead monthly and year-end close processes Produce quarterly financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for ownership Compile and prepare payroll data for third-party payroll processing Manage interdepartmental billing and cost allocation Oversee accounts payable and receivable including aging and collections Maintain internal financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance Support the third-party CPA with tax preparation and audit-ready documentation Work with CRM (ServiceTitan) to import invoices to Quickbooks Enterprise Required Qualifications 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a full-charge or senior role Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Solid working knowledge of GAAP High degree of accuracy, integrity, and discretion Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Equivalent experience considered for candidates with a strong track record Preferred Certifications Certified Bookkeeper (CB) QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certified Management Accountant (CMA) CPA (not required but a significant differentiator) Preferred Experience Background in construction, HVAC, trades, or service-based businesses Experience supporting a third-party CPA relationship Familiarity with field service management software (ServiceTitan a plus) Compensation & Details $100,000•$110,000 commensurate with experience Full-time, fully in-office, Portland headquarters Benefits package available
