Position Summary:
Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager manages the Company's financial health now and into the future. They are influential in the financial strategy of the organization. This role sets objectives that guide fiscal policy, fiscal reporting requirements, detailed practices, and industry guidelines. The person in this role must have the autonomous capacity to evaluate, design, and develop accounting practices and procedures, and contribute to the development of new concepts, practices, and strategies.Requirements:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations & variance analysis. Oversee and manage finance team who perform key administrative finance tasks, including AP / AR, revenue/billing forecasting, expense reporting, payroll, monthly and quarterly financial reporting, hiring/onboarding of freelance talent, project maintenance. Lead, mentor, train and supervise accounting staff members on engagements to ensure delivery of accurate, relevant, and timely financial information, in addition to the staff member's overall success and professional development. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of annual audited financial statements with external auditors. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of all tax filings (federal, state, local, sales, use and payroll) with external tax firm. Manage and maintain ownership of ERP systems including management of vendor and consultant relationships needed to support such systems. Work closely with Operations and President to deliver ongoing operational success. Perform additional duties as directed by the President.Experience and Requirements:
She/he will need to be a servant leader who can build, enhance and support a capable, experienced, energetic team.Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Four years or more of related experience Working knowledge of regulatory standards and all aspects of GAAP Excellent management and supervisory skills Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Have a professional and positive demeanor while being able to work without supervision. Capable of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments.Preferred Experience:
Certified Public Accountant Proven experience improving processes and managing ad-hoc projects History of taking ownership of projects from start to finish (take initiative and be proactive).NetSuite EOS Engagement & GWC Alignment:
