Job Description

Gibson Stainless & Specialty, Inc., an established industry leader with a reputation for quality and customer service, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join its team. Founded in 1995, Gibson Stainless is a family owned and operated manufacturer of stainless steel conduit and fittings. We are seeking an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in core accounting functions, including areas such as accruals and prepaid expenses. The ideal candidate is comfortable applying these skills while also taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activity Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations Lead the monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Prepare and provide financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support leadership decision-making Partner with external CPA firm on tax filings, year-end reporting, and ongoing financial review Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee support Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and benefits Coordinate with external partners (e.g., benefits providers, payroll services) as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred) Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, as well as accounting principles and practices Experience with accounts receivable and cash flow management Familiarity with payroll processing and basic benefits administration Familiarity with HR practices and procedures Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred but not required High level of accuracy, organization, and accountability Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
