Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Mechanicsburg, PA area seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting and payroll operations. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while managing a small accounting team and supporting leadership with actionable financial insights. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reporting Supervise and mentor accounting and payroll staff Partner cross-functionally to evaluate financial performance and identify risks/opportunities Support internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance Continuously improve accounting processes, systems, and workflows Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a small to mid-sized business environment Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll operations, and financial reporting CPA or CPP designation preferred Experience in construction or project-based environments including prevailing wage payroll experience Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
