Accounts Payable Manager - The Williams Companies, Inc. 6221 Mile Lane RD, Sayre

PA 18840 SUMMARY

Manages and oversees all accounts payable functions for an eight-dealership automotive group, a 65-store convenience store chain, and a fuel freight business. Ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, reconciliations, and payments; maintains strong internal controls; supervises accounts payable staff; and supports business management with cash flow planning, reporting, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Directs, trains, and supervises Accounts Payable Clerks. Establishes standardized accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls. Reviews invoices, vouchers, and expense reimbursements for accuracy and approval. Manages all payment cycles including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Ensures vendor statements are reconciled and discrepancies resolved promptly. Monitors cash requirements and communicates payable obligations to management. Assists with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. Coordinates with convenience store management and dealership departments including Sales, Service, Parts, Payroll, and Title. Reviews freight bills and audits vendor charges. Ensures compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, and accounting best practices. Maintains a professional appearance and organized work environment.

EXPERIENCE

Associate or bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of accounts payable experience. Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents; write professional correspondence; and present information effectively to management, vendors, and staff.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages and apply accounting principles.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables.
