Job Description

This internship opportunity is with our Finance department. The Housing Authority's Finance team manages the incoming and outgoing payments, and other general accounting functions for the agency. HACC receives Federal and grant funded dollars to assist our participants. The intern would learn about grant and federal funding requirements and reporting measures.
Essential Duties:
Enter data on the Credit Card Spreadsheet for credit card reconciliations Create Check Requests for payables Ensure the appropriate General Ledger codes are on Check Requests Learn and utilize Yardi software to assist with financial entries Shadow and assist the Finance Manager in completing financial reports File and organize financial documentation Other duties as assigned.   • Ability to use the computer and various software to perform responsibilities efficiently
Work Environment:
  • Work is principally sedentary but may involve some physical exertion such as, kneeling, crouching, or lifting to obtain files and records, and eyestrain from working with computers and other office equipment
  • Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a time while performing work duties
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of office-related duties
  • Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally to operate office equipment
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that sometimes includes increased stress levels
