This individual will oversee all aspects of our company's accounting operations and play a key role in financial planning, reporting, compliance and internal controls, while also supporting strategic decision making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting leadership, thrives in a hands-on environment, and brings experience in cost accounting to support operational efficiency and profitability. Schedule Hybrid role; in office four days and remote work one day per week Duties Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance metrics Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations Partner with leadership to support decision making with financial analysis and business insights Provide cost accounting and margin analysis for supplement production, including raw materials, labor and overhead Implement and improve financial systems, processes and internal controls Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships and financing needs Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirements Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed Lead and develop a small accounting/finance team Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and quality departments to align financial goals with production and business strategies Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Fishbowl, and NetSuite for efficient financial management. Other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or similar field; CPA designation a plus Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Pharma/nutraceuticals experience preferred Strong understanding of cash management principles and financial concepts. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting Experience with budgeting processes and financial management strategies. Familiarity with various accounting software platforms (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is essential Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing multiple priorities independently.
