Accounting Manager Location:

Annapolis, MD (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to step into a high-impact role with leadership exposure, strong mentorship, and a clear path to Controller? A growing, well-capitalized organization in Annapolis is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming out of a public + private accounting background , ideally with experience in private equity and/or real estate , who wants to take ownership of key financial processes and lead a small team. What You'll Do Lead and manage the monthly close process , ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and review investor reporting , working closely with internal stakeholders Support accounting and reporting for open-ended funds Supervise and mentor a team of 3 direct reports Partner with leadership, including a highly supportive and experienced CFO Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies across accounting operations What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) Public + private accounting experience highly preferred Exposure to private equity and/or real estate industries Prior supervisory or team lead experience Strong understanding of fund accounting, reporting, and close processes A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Why This Role Stands Out Compensation up to $130K + 20% bonus 100% employer-paid medical benefits (employee + family) Excellent work-life balance Collaborative, positive culture with strong leadership Clear path to Controller Work directly with a supportive and engaged CFO Hybrid schedule (2 days per week in office) If you're looking for a role where you can grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact while maintaining balance, this is a strong opportunity to take the next step in your career. #LI-BK1 #
