As a key member of our Finance team, you'll provide leadership, drive continuous improvement, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of Leatherman's financial operations. What You'll Do As Accounting Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting Leatherman's mission by leading core accounting operations and serving as a trusted business partner across the organization. Key responsibilities include Leading the monthly close process, including consolidation of global entities and timely financial reporting Ensuring accurate financial records and reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies Reviewing general ledger activity and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity Partnering with FP&A and business leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making Strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance across accounting processes Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities Overseeing treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and financial compliance Coordinating annual audits, tax compliance activities, and external reporting requirements Leading, mentoring, and developing a talented accounting team across Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll functions Collaborating with leaders across Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments to support company objectives What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with business acumen, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset You thrive when Solving complex problems and driving results Building strong partnerships across teams Improving processes and creating efficiencies Coaching and developing employees Translating financial information into actionable business insights Balancing attention to detail with strategic thinking Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA, CMA, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience 2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing employees Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience managing month-end close processes and financial statement preparation Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or operational accounting environments preferred Why Leatherman?
