The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the accounting staffs who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, reconciliations, and budget preparation. Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations. Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Prepares financial statements and reports including recording disbursements, expenses, tax payments, sales, earnings, cash balances and other financial results. Prepares and manages all financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles and ensures they are completed timely and accurately. Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return. Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Coordinate with other department to improve processes. Support the accounting system integration.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in using SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. At least 5 years of accounting experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly desired. International trade accounting experience desired. Bilingual in English/Chinese.
