This role requires a hands-on leader who combines strong non-profit accounting expertise with exceptional people skills, supporting both financial stewardship and staff training and development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly accurate, and passionate about using their accounting experience to drive meaningful organizational impact and collaboration. This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon. Accounting Manager Responsibilities Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting processes. Manage and develop a small team of accounting staff members. Lead audit preparation, compliance reporting, tax support activities, and financial documentation requests. Monitor cash flow, banking activity, fixed assets, restricted funds, grants, and revenue recognition processes. Support budgeting, fiscal analysis, process improvements, and financial controls while partnering with internal stakeholders, in collaboration with the CFO. Accounting Manager Qualifications 5+ years of financial accounting experience, including nonprofit accounting and GAAP compliance; Accounting or related degree preferred, not required. Experience overseeing accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and grant reporting. Proficiency with Financial Edge and Microsoft Excel. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to coach, motivate and hold teams accountable. Salary:

$90K-$95K/year.
