Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide financial advisory support to business managers for compliance with critical accounting activities (e.g., revenue recognition, inventory accounting, accrued liabilities, etc.). Based out of the Two NorthShore Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 location. Hybrid remote work/work at home may be permitted. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work on projects to improve financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Provide commercial finance support (e.g., pricing, RFP responses); prepare financial justification for appropriation requests; accountable for reliability of relevant financial processes and associated internal control compliance; monitor support levels provided by Global Business Services organization.
- Analyze profitability of respective business lines and new product launches; prepare and analyze monthly financial results re: targets and make recommendations for course corrections.
- Prepare strategic planning financials and annual operating budget; coordinate activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished, and perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in accounting, finance or related field.
- CIMA qualification.
- Prior experience must include at least three (3) years in a position offered or in a financial analysis role.
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of financial reporting data hierarchies.
- Support integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Pricing strategies and project profitability analysis.
- EMEA/UK finance practices.
- US GAAP.
SAP ERP/BPC/BI
- Compilation of monthly forecast submissions and provide consolidations to top management.
- Strategic financial management.
- Coordinate completion of annual operating budget.
- Cost and risk management.
- Use of Power BI and financial modelling software.
- Month-end variance analysis and P&L reviews for multiple (20+) different profit centers.
- Liaise between Finance and IT functions to transform business needs into practical solutions.
- Establish and manage change control processes.
- Policies and governance procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information systems.
Salary:
$81,411 to $ 179,610 per year. M-F, 40 hours/wk.
