This role offers a positive and collaborative work environment at a progressive Water & Sewer District. The District is recognized as a forward-thinking utility, actively engaged in regional water and sewer issues, and a leader in advanced technology applications. This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday-Friday; extended hours periodically during meetings, emergencies, or as workload requires. After orientation, the District allows for remote work 2 days a week. Manages and directs the Customer Service and utility billing functions and functionality of customer portal and billing systems. Serve as lead or internal project manager for selecting and implementing a new fiscal management system and utility billing system. Supports rate implementation, revenue monitoring, and budget coordination. Knowledge & Skills Principles and practices of public sector personnel administration, confidential records management, supervision, and effective customer service practices Government accounting, auditing, and financial procedures and standards. Generally accepted accounting principles and standards. Project management of enterprise financial systems including implementation of new platforms. Windows Operating System; Microsoft Office Products; Archival Software; Financial Software, Utility Billing; Enterprise Content Management; Adobe; and other District applications. Professional communication and interpersonal skills; Solid technical writing; Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or applicable discipline Previous project management experience preferred Previous accounting experience
