Position OverviewWe are a professional services accounting firm with offices north of Dallas and in Tulsa OK. We are committed to providing the best financial services to our clients and due to growth, we are eager to add a Client Accounting Services Manager to our team of public accounting professionals.
The Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager will lead delivery of high-quality accounting, reporting, and advisory services for a portfolio of mid-market clients. This role combines client relationship management, technical accounting oversight, team leadership, and project management to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and continuous process improvement. The Senior Manager will be the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, drive technology adoption across bookkeeping and ERP platforms, and ensure compliance with public accounting standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end delivery of client accounting services, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and management reporting.
Serve as the primary client relationship lead, proactively addressing client needs, delivering strategic insights, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and senior staff; set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and support career growth.
Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and public accounting requirements; review and approve workpapers and deliverables.
Drive implementation and optimization of accounting systems and cloud-based ERPs (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct, Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP) to streamline processes and improve reporting.
Coordinate with tax and assurance teams to support engagements, provide schedules, and resolve accounting/tax-related issues.
Develop and monitor KPIs and financial metrics to assess client performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Manage multiple client engagements and projects, including scoping, budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and advisory work, including cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
Lead quality control initiatives, establish best practices, and implement standardized workflows and documentation for the CAS practice.QualificationsRequired:
Significant experience in Public Accounting (6+ years) with a focus on client accounting services, financial reporting, and client management.Required:
Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams and multiple client engagements.Required:
Strong technical accounting knowledge and demonstrated ability to review and approve accounting deliverables.Preferred:
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA preferred.Required:
Hands-on experience with client accounting and bookkeeping platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct, Dynamics, Great Plains, or SAP.Required:
Experience working with tax, assurance, and advisory teams and supporting year-end processes.Preferred:
Skills in financial analysis, KPI development, and performance reporting to support client advisory work.Preferred:
Project management experience, including scoping, budgeting, and timeline management for client engagements.
