Job Description
At Kenon Group Consultants (KGC), we exist to identify and solve problems before they become problems, so our clients can stay focused on building the future. We are looking for a Consulting Manager to lead projects, advise clients, and develop high-performing teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced consulting environment and enjoys balancing technical accounting, leadership, and strategic problem-solving . We are a leading provider of complex back-office accounting, technical accounting, and financial reporting consulting services for companies in the renewable energy industry. What You'll Do Lead multiple client engagements across a portfolio of complex entities Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, providing accounting and operational guidance Oversee and review complex accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
U.S. GAAP
Manage month-end close processes, including financial reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations Partner with clients and internal teams to identify challenges and proactively solve problems Mentor, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and growth Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit readiness Drive process improvements, system implementations, and operational efficiencies Manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness Stay hands-on—supporting the team in execution when needed to ensure successful outcomes What Success Looks Like Strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders High-performing teams that are growing in capability and ownership Accurate, timely, and audit-ready financials across assigned entities Improved processes that increase efficiency and scalability Consistent delivery of high-quality client service in a fast-moving environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required) CPA required or plan to obtain within one year 4-7+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) or equivalent experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Proven experience leading teams and managing client relationships Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a consulting environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central preferred) What We're Looking For Strong technical accountant with a consulting mindset Confident, client-facing professional who can build trust and credibility Hands-on leader who supports their team and leads by example Proactive problem-solver who anticipates challenges before they arise Highly organized and able to navigate complexity Committed to developing people and improving processes Why Join KGC?
