K Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field At least 7 years' experience in patient financial services, including patient accounting, registration, financial counseling, insurance, and coding Minimum 3 years of managerial experience Ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and implement process improvement
Day-to-day:
As Director of Patient Financial Services, you'll oversee all aspects of patient billing, accounts receivable, and cash management for the organization. Your day involves planning and directing the work of the patient accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely billing, collections, and insurance verification. You'll regularly review account balances, monitor collections, and implement procedures to maximize reimbursement and compliance with regulations. The role requires frequent collaboration with medical staff, outside agencies, and internal departments, as well as handling inquiries and resolving issues related to billing and payments. You'll also be responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating staff, developing budgets, and ensuring the department meets quality and compliance standards. In the absence of the CFO, you may manage day-to-day financial operations for the organization
