Finance & Accounting Manager ???? Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Finance & Accounting Manager. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines both accounting oversight and strategic financial planning & analysis responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting while also serving as a business partner to leadership through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Finance Manager or a strong Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst ready to step into a management position overseeing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, consolidations, financial statement preparation, and intercompany accounting
Ensure compliance with
US GAAP, SOX
requirements, and internal controls
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, financial reporting, and process improvements
Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic business initiatives
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
Prepare and present monthly business reviews, KPI reporting, variance analyses, and profitability analyses
Develop revenue, cash flow, working capital, and operational forecasts
Drive process improvements across finance and accounting functions to improve efficiency and scalability
Manage finance initiatives related to internal controls, capital expenditures, and operational performance
Supervise, mentor, and develop two direct reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
Strong blend of accounting and FP&A experience
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting
Solid accounting leadership background, including month-end close, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting
Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence business decisions through financial insights
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset and willingness to be hands-on
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing industry experience
Project-based accounting experience
CPA, CMA, and/or MBA
Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a team
