Finance Manager Wegner CPAs Client Recruiting Services Verona, WI 53593 Hybrid work Full-time Full-time Wegner CPAs is excited to partner with a respected local non-profit organization in the Madison area in their search for a Finance Manager . This is a mostly remote opportunity, with only three in-office days per month in Madison, offering the flexibility of remote work while still staying connected to the team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment and wants to play a meaningful part in guiding the financial health of an organization making an impact in the community. Non-profit accounting experience and QuickBooks proficiency are required for consideration. Position Overview The Finance Manager will oversee all core accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and sound budgeting practices. This position plays a vital role in supporting leadership with financial strategy, forecasting, and contract compliance. You'll serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, helping drive informed decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, electronic banking, monthly reconciliations, and month-end close Maintain accurate bookkeeping and prepare timely financial statements Oversee multi-class/project/department tracking and reporting Manage bill pay, credit card activity, cash flow, and purchasing processes Lead budgeting, forecasting revenues and expenditures, and cash management efforts Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with accounting-related contract requirements Partner with leadership to develop long-term financial strategies, identify risks, and uncover opportunities for growth Provide financial reporting and insights, including breakdowns across three state contracts Help develop and improve financial policies and procedures Why This Role?
