is a growing Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) serving small and medium-sized businesses throughout New York and beyond. In addition to our technology services business, we own and manage a portfolio of commercial and residential real estate investments. We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of multiple entities, provide executive-level reporting, and help drive sound financial decision-making. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional, controller, or fractional finance leader who enjoys working independently and supporting entrepreneurial businesses. Position Summary The Finance & Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all accounting and finance functions across our IT services company and affiliated real estate entities. This role reports directly to ownership and serves as the primary financial leader for the organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of translating financial data into actionable business insights. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations Manage day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate general ledger records Review payroll processing and related reporting Coordinate with external CPA firms and tax advisors Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly financial statements, including: Profit & Loss Statements Balance Sheets Cash Flow Statements Produce budget versus actual reporting Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators Present financial results and recommendations to ownership Managed IT Services Financial Management Track Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) Analyze client profitability and service margins Monitor project profitability and labor utilization Evaluate software licensing and vendor costs Support pricing and financial planning initiatives Real Estate Financial Management Prepare property-level financial reporting Track rental income, occupancy, and vacancies Monitor operating expenses and capital expenditures Manage loan and debt service schedules Support acquisition, refinancing, and investment analysis Planning & Strategic Support Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting Support business growth initiatives and financial planning Improve reporting processes and operational efficiency Develop executive dashboards and performance metrics Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting, finance, or controller experience Strong understanding of financial statements and cash flow management QuickBooks Expertise Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to manage multiple companies and priorities independently Preferred CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification Experience supporting Managed Services Providers (MSPs), technology companies, or professional services firms Experience with real estate accounting and property management reporting Experience with multi-entity accounting structures Fractional Controller or CFO experience What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, you will: Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting packages Implement consistent reporting across all entities Establish reliable cash flow forecasting Improve visibility into business and property performance Provide ownership with actionable financial insights Why Join Us?
