OVERVIEW
The Green Space Program is Metro Housing's financial literacy and coaching program for low- and moderate-income families and individuals in Greater Boston. The Green Space Program provides workshops and one-on-one financial coaching with no time limits, focusing on each participant's financial priorities. The Financial Coaching Coordinator is responsible for providing programmatic support to Participants and other Metro staff cross- trained in light touch financial coaching and for Green Space program referrals for longer term participant coaching support. They will also lead small scale trainings and/or workshops. This is a hybrid position where you will work a minimum of two (2) days per week in the office at 1411 Tremont Street Boston, MA. Hybrid work schedule may change and you will be notified by your supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
Serve as Financial Coach for caseload of participants Provide customized in person, phone-based or virtual one-on-one financial coaching sessions on topics such as Budgeting, Credit, Debt Management, Savings, and long-term asset building Provide financial coaching according to established program protocols Serve as a partner and champion as participants set goals and define action plans to achieve short and long-term objectives Support participants as they encounter barriers by brainstorming solutions and identifying available expertise and resources Identify and connect participants with resources to help meet short-term needs as well as enable progress towards their long-term financial goals Maintain required records and documentation in a timely manner and in compliance with the organization's data privacy policies in accordance with established protocols Keep up to date in knowledge of financial coaching best practices. Engage in professional development and community initiatives to keep informed of current service trends related to financial and social service delivery. Facilitate small-group financial trainings with an interactive and high energy approach for training and education of both staff and participants Support Light Touch Financial Coaching staff as they encounter obstacles and barriers with participants by brainstorming solutions and identifying available expertise and resources as needed Keep up to date in knowledge of trends in the financial services industry as well financial coaching best practices. Manage monthly Financial Literacy workshop process, including but not limited to maintaining monthly distribution lists for registrations, documenting registrations and attendance activities and opening and closing of services as appropriate in CM Manage referral process and waitlist for all financial coaching program functions, including but not limited to vetting for program eligibility and processing referrals per established protocols Provide program oversight and training support to all Metro programs' staff that are utilizing the Light Touch Financial Coaching model, including but not limited to: Accessing Resources; Light Touch Financial Coaching Protocol and services, Green Space program referrals and Financial Literacy subject matter content and best practices. Serve as direct support for the HCEC program as well as other Metro programs; collaborating with program managers for meeting service delivery outcomes and contractual obligations associated with financial stability efforts. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Previous experience in Housing Case Management (1 year), Financial services or Coaching (preferred) (min 1 year) Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Passion for coaching and mentoring others to achieve challenging goals Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook and familiarity with database management and utilization. Knowledge of financial services in addition to social services in the Greater Metropolitan Boston area Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities in ways that advance high quality outcomes Exceptional leadership and time management ability; demonstrated record of accomplishment in coaching, supporting and collaborating with staff in a team-based, multi-cultural environment, with exceptional skills in negotiation and conflict resolution.
PREFERENCE GIVEN TO
Candidates with multilingual skills (verbal and written). We are seeking candidates that speak and write English and at least one of the following languages (for interpreting and translation): Spanish, Haitian Creole, and/or Portuguese Candidates that have experience in the financial services industry or with housing stabilization programs
