Interim Revenue Accounting Manager

Interim Revenue Accounting Manager Our client, a global organization operating in a subscription-based environment, is seeking an Interim Revenue Accounting Manager to support the revenue function during a leadership transition. This position is fully remote and expected to last 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

Perform contract reviews and revenue recognition assessments in accordance with applicable accounting standards Support the preparation and refinement of technical accounting memos Execute day-to-day revenue operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and workpaper preparation Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue Partner with finance leadership on deal reviews and non-standard contract considerations Provide guidance and support to the revenue accounting team members Assist with the preparation of revenue reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders Maintain continuity of established processes and ensure consistency in reporting outputs Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operational teams Help identify and address issues within revenue workflows as needed

Requirements:

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards in subscription-based or recurring revenue environments Experience with both technical accounting (contracts, memos) and operational accounting (close, reconciliations) Ability to step into existing processes and contribute with minimal ramp time Strong understanding of close cycles and reporting cadences Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
