The Strategic Missile Defense Business Office has an immediate SM-3 Manager to lead all financial management related to Munitions Acceleration activities. SM-3 is part of the Shipboard Missiles Strategic Business Unit with yearly sales of approximately $900M per year with a secure and stable long-term business forecast. This unique role will allow for management of investments regarding capacity expansion on the SM-3 program, where you will partner with the SM-3 program execution team, Program leaders, and functional partners in an exciting environment to ensure financial and business goals are met through proactive overseeing, team guidance, and recommendation-based analysis to drive successful results across the program area. The SM-3 Program is anticipating Multi Year Procurement (MYP) with substantial company investment. This position will play a critical role in execution and coordination with various stakeholders, including partnering with the Capacity Growth Office (CGO), to ensure program execution and robust financial controls. As the team manager, this role will focus heavily on customer relations, team learning, development and process improvements used to enhance the efforts of the broader SM-3 munitions capacity finance. This program offers a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with not only cross-functional partners, but also the customer on a continuing basis. What You Will Do Finance lead for ongoing proposal efforts related to Munitions Acceleration on SM-3. You will be responsible for the EAC cadence, ensuring timely and meaningful reviews with all levels of management on these investment projects. You will need to be a direct communicator with the ability to drive difficult tasks to fruition regarding investment strategizing to leadership. Implement rigorous financial controls to successfully execute munitions acceleration contracts with multi year production and substantial company investment in excess of $3B. Partner with the SM-3 Program Leaders to drive predictable financial outcomes, growth, and program execution. Coordinate with the Capacity Growth Office and other functional stakeholders to ensure execution to program cost and schedule. Working with Capital investment, New Business Investment, bookings/backlog, providing inputs to Annual Operating Plan (AOP), 5-year Long Range Planning (LRP), establishing initial baseline for new awards, coordinating and performing Estimates-at-Complete (EACs). Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field is required or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. Requires 8 years finance/accounting work experience. Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Ability to influence without direct authority. Experience with New Business Investment and Capital. Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, AO) or similar tools. Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leadership and customer. Independent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Proven ability to work independently and with high levels of management. Experience working in a matrix team environment with members at all levels of management. Broad understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
