HappyNest™ is a fast-growing, well-funded, technology company seeking to grow our finance management team. We offer a software-enabled laundry pickup and next-day delivery service for consumers. We pickup, wash, dry, and fold laundry to our customers' exact (and personalized) specifications and return it the very next day. HappyNest currently has 100+ locations in 29 states and D.C. and is expanding rapidly. About the
Job:
HappyNest is looking for dynamic financial professional who gets excited about building something new and thrives on working on multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will have at least three years financial management experience and have full command of the monthly accounting cycle from daily transactions to preparation of financial statements(including a solid background using QuickBooks and firm understanding of sales tax and associated software packages preferably Avalara)excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to effectively interact and maintain professionalism with all HappyNest teammates and Laundromat Partners. You will be the point person for most internal and external requests and will have the confidence, charisma and organization skills to jump right in to get things done. Additional experience with an ERP system is a plus. You will have the opportunity to join a talented team that is expanding rapidly. Responsibilities:
  • Executing all procedures required to finalize the monthly financial data, which includes preparing accruals, running a trial balance, and ensuring all accounts are reconciled. , including bank and credit card statements
  • Manage daily customer invoicing including collections efforts, production partner payments and vendor payables,
  • Ensure sales tax withholdings and filings are in compliance with state regulations
  • Prepare daily and monthly management reports using Excel and Google docs
  • Manage the entire Payroll process including company benefits ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations and filings

  • Quick learner who wants to understand all facets or the business and is not afraid to ask questions or challenge the status quo.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where taking initiative is required and going the extra mile is expected.
  • Can be trusted with confidential information.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
  • 3+ years finance/accounting experience (QuickBooks and Avalara experience is a must)
