Job Description

This position reports to the CEO of the MTC Foundation/Associate Vice President of Philanthropy and serves as the business manager for the MTC Foundation. The Foundation Finance Manager (Fiscal Analyst III) works in non-profit higher education accounting, including fundraising-applicable accounting and terms. The Foundation Finance Manager serves as an official member of the MTC Finance and Investment Committee. Daily work includes accounting, payroll, budget, expense, budget analysis, purchasing contracts, funding channels of development including major gifts, annual fund, faculty and staff gifting, capital campaigns, and gifts-in-kind. The FAII applies basic principles of investments and fiscal management practice, knowledge of philanthropy technology, including Financial Edge, Colleague, and Raisers Edge. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Harbison Campus. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
Preferred:
a bachelor's with fifteen (15) semester hours in accounting related courses and three (3) years accounting experience, preferably five (5) to seven (7) years of finance and accounting experience.
Highly preferred:
master's degree with five (5) to seven (7) years of finance and accounting experience, 2-4 years of which is in coordination of financial services of a foundation including oversight of an endowment,.
