We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and assist the Controller with general accounting, financial reporting, and processing tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage operational data, ensuring integrity and accuracy. Develop operational procedures and document data flow. Establish system controls for data integrity, including troubleshooting procedures. Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements and management reports. Oversee the month-end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis and reconciliation. Assist in the yearly closing, including preparation for CPA review. Support the Controller in directing the accounting functions of the organization. Prepare and monitor financial reports. Implement internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements. Periodically review financial data, including job costs, for accuracy and completeness. Supervise personnel in accounts receivable, accounts payable, compliance, and commissions. Monitor and improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Audit workflow to ensure compliance with industry standards. Complete bank reconciliations. Handle confidential accounting functions, including commissions and purchase orders. Supervise general ledger reconciliations. Ensure compliance with all internal controls. Train staff on company procedures. Identify initiatives to improve accounting processes. Assess and communicate KPI performance to team members monthly. Assist in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience. Extensive knowledge of math and exceptional accounting skills. Strong leadership, supervisory, and management capabilities. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant financial software. Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and financial accounting.
