Job Summary and Qualifications As an Accounting Manager you will assist the Director of Finance in developing, compiling and analyzing s tatistical data. You will identify trends, formulate conclusions and prepare complete and accurate financial statements and statist ical reports in support of HCA Physician Services Group (PSG) executive decision-making processes. What you will do in this role: You will supervise and coordinate the following financial services: monthly and annual closing cycles, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, budget revi ew and clinic internal controls You will also develop plans and objectives with the CFO, Director of Finance and department staff regarding short and long range financial and accounting programs in specific areas such as budgeting, profit and loss analysis, accounting systems, r eporting, and internal auditing You will coordinate with HCAPS management, division financial personnel, and facility personnel in the creation of annua l capital and operating budgets You will also work with HCAPs administration staff and Information Systems to develop financial and operating reports to monitor the progress of all practice entities at the Corporate, MSO, Group, Division, Marke t, Practice and Physician level You must analyze standard monthly financial and statistical reports for HCAPS administration and operations and recommend analytical or operational changes to maximize the financial and operation al effectiveness and efficiency You will analyze practices and their operational indicators to determine best practices as well as areas for improvement, reporting of the se findings to HCAPS management You will also analyze trends in net revenue an A/R, working with the applicable CBO and/or practice financial staff to ensure accurate reporting and instill process improvement What q ualifications you will need: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting and/or auditing as a supervisor including two years in a health care organization Additional appropriate education may be substituted for two years of h ealthcare accounting experience Benefits HCA Healthcare, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
