Requirements The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Area Director of Finance with the overall financial control function of the hotel.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Perform all accounting functions in the event assistance is needed
• Effectively schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within control systems
• Assist in producing financial statements within designated time frame for distribution.
• Verify compliance with Finance SOP Manual
• Participate in and critique asset inventories
• Preparation and knowledge of sales tax returns, as well as any other applicable tax liabilities
• Manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, including collection calls as needed
• Ensure the A/R aging percentages are in compliance with SOP
• Verify credit cards are processed nightly by night audit
• Verify cash deposits are made in a timely manner
• Assist the Area Director of Finance with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts each period
• Review any problem accounts with the Area Director of Finance and adjust entries to the general ledger as needed
• Coordinate month end closing, prepare all required journal entries, perform analytical review of financial statements
• Coordinate annual internal/external audit processes A qualified individual will possess a proven track record in hotel or resort financial leadership.
