$118,300 - $165,160 Salary is commensurate with experience. Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Experience Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience related to support of applications for large enterprise systems which may include financial, HR, supply chain systems or other complex systems. Experience managing or supporting ERP/ERO platforms in a utility, energy, or other complex enterprise environment preferred. Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives and enterprise application projects. JOB FAMILY SUMMARY PURPOSE
The Manager of Financial Systems is responsible for the strategy, administration, support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of enterprise financial and administrative systems that support the utility's business operations. This role oversees applications and integrations related to Enterprise Resource Optimization (ERO/ERP), Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Inventory, and Supply Chain functions. The position serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives. The Manager of Financial Systems leads application support efforts, manages vendors and system upgrades, supports business partners across the company, and drives technology and process optimization initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reporting content and speed as well as data integrity across the utility. This position may report directly to, or within, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Chief Financial Officers organization. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Advanced problem solving and communication skills required to identify solutions to complex and technically challenging problems that require data collection, interpretation, and analysis of data from diverse sources and the ability to present findings and offer recommendations to senior management. Strong understanding of financial, HR, payroll, and supply chain business processes. Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and integration concepts. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of audit requirements and financial system controls and compliance. Ability to build collaborative relationships across technical and business teams. Understanding of cybersecurity and data governance principles. Enterprise Application Leadership Lead the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise financial and administrative systems. Manage applications supporting:
Finance and Accounting Budgeting and Forecasting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Payroll and Human Resources Procurement and Supply Chain Inventory and Warehouse Management Enterprise Resource Optimization (ERO/ERP) Develop and execute application roadmaps aligned with utility business goals and technology strategies. Ability to maintain knowledge of vendor application development plans to support business needs. Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance. Business Partnership & Strategy Partner with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership to identify business needs and technology solutions. Translate business requirements into functional and technical system enhancements. Lead process improvement initiatives and promote best practices for enterprise systems utilization. Participate in long-range planning for enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives and training strategies to support. Project & Vendor Management Manage system implementations, upgrades, patches, integrations, and enhancement projects. Coordinate with internal IT teams, consultants, and software vendors. Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource estimates. Monitor vendor performance and ensure service level agreements are met. Team Leadership Supervise analysts, application administrators, consultants, or support staff as assigned. Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and service-oriented culture. Compliance, Security & Reporting Ensure systems comply with applicable regulatory, cybersecurity, audit, and internal control requirements. Support financial audits and reporting requirements. Develop standards for system documentation, change management, testing, and user access controls. Promote data governance and data quality initiatives. Promotes adoption of AI and automation to simplify business processes and efficient business outcomes. Manages the proper documentation of and training on various aspects of the financial system.
