$95,000 - $110,000 per year, dependent upon experience Starting salary is highly competitive and will be determined by the candidate's relevant skills, educational background, and years of experience.
DeWalch Technologies, Inc. is a vertically integrated manufacturer specializing in proprietary products for diversified markets. We are a leading manufacturer of products for Utility Revenue Protection, providing solutions to deter theft of electricity, gas, and other utilities. Additionally, we offer contract manufacturing services and have ongoing advanced R D initiatives. With a 40-year history of delivering cutting-edge products, along with our diverse manufacturing operations, we recently acquired Texcast, an investment casting foundry which produces precision investment castings for a diverse customer group. Our active R D efforts are focused on developing and commercializing high-growth products developed in-house. One of these projects includes a system developed by DeWalch to convert natural gas to clean fuels. This project is on the verge of tremendous growth.

Role:
We are seeking a hands-on, on-site Accounting Manager to lead our daily financial operations and spearhead process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will work directly alongside our accounting team, splitting your time between daily ledger activities, administrative management, and financial reporting. A critical component of this role is partnering closely with upper management to design and execute turnaround activities that modernize, optimize, and streamline our current accounting workflows and strategic financial reporting. This position is 100% on-site at our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities Executive Partnership & Turnaround Strategy Advisory Role :
Partner directly with upper management (C-suite/Owners) to identify operational bottlenecks and align accounting improvements with broader company growth goals.
System Overhaul :
Design and execute a turnaround roadmap to modernize existing accounting workflows, reducing errors and shortening the month-end close cycle.
Reporting Enhancements :
Upgrade and redesign financial reporting formats to provide upper management with clearer, faster, and more actionable cost insights.
Internal Controls :
Establish and enforce robust internal control procedures alongside executive leadership to safeguard company assets.
Hands-On Accounting & Team Collaboration Team Collaboration :
Work daily alongside accounting personnel to process, review, and troubleshoot accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries.
Financial Statements :
Prepare accurate monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Expense Control :
Closely monitor manufacturing, production, and general overhead costs against the budget.
Banking & Financial Services Treasury Relations :
Act as the primary point of contact for external banks to manage corporate accounts, credit lines, and banking services.
Liquidity Tracking :
Manage daily balances, authorize wire transfers, and optimize cash placement.
Prepare, file, and ensure timely payment of local real estate and personal property tax returns for the manufacturing plant and equipment.
HR Benefit Finance :
Collaborate with the Human Resources department to track, audit, and fund employee benefit programs (e.g., health insurance, 401k plans).
Admin Overhead :
Monitor and optimize general administrative expenses, including vendor contracts and office overhead.
Qualifications:
Location:
100% On-site (Required).
Experience:
5+ years of corporate accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment (preferred). Experience presenting financial data directly to upper management, executives, or owners is required.
Turnaround Track Record:
Proven experience successfully cleaning up or turning around struggling accounting operations.
Tax Knowledge:
Direct experience handling local/state property tax filings.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities. Experience leading or assisting with ERP implementations/upgrades is a strong plus.
Interpersonal:
Exceptional communication skills needed to bridge the gap between transactional staff and executive leadership.
