Direct Hire May 22, 2026 Accounting Manager 10779 The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting for a multi-entity healthcare organization. This role leads the month-end close process, supports annual audit readiness, strengthens internal controls, and partners cross-functionally to improve processes and reporting accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Manage close timelines and coordinate deliverables across accounting, billing, payroll, AP, and operations teams. Maintain audit readiness and coordinate annual external audit activities. Review general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and compliance. Support revenue recognition and reconciliation processes related to healthcare services. Monitor key accounting areas including cash, accruals, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany activity. Develop and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting accountability and professional growth. Partner with operational and support teams to resolve reporting issues and improve efficiency. Assist with process improvements, system implementations, acquisitions, and business integrations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls. Healthcare industry experience preferred, especially home health, hospice, or post-acute care. Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. CPA or CPA-track preferred.
