Job Description:
Regional Accounting Manager Build Something Bigger Than the Close Process Are you the type of accounting professional who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, learning a business from the ground up, and becoming a trusted partner to operations? If so, this opportunity offers a unique chance to step into a high-impact role with significant visibility, career growth, and exposure to acquisitions in a rapidly expanding commercial services organization. We are seeking a Regional Accounting Manager to support a growing portfolio of landscaping and construction-related businesses. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and wants to play a key role in integrating acquisitions and scaling finance processes across multiple business units. Why This Role Stands Out This is not a traditional accounting manager position where you're solely focused on month-end close and reporting. You'll begin by immersing yourself in the business-working onsite, learning operations firsthand, building relationships with field and office teams, and handling day-to-day accounting responsibilities. As the organization continues to grow, you'll help drive process improvements, support acquisition integrations, and become a strategic finance partner to operational leadership. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a team while taking ownership of broader regional accounting responsibilities.
What You'll Do Initial Focus:
Learn the Business from the Ground Up Perform day-to-day accounting and clerical accounting functions Work onsite alongside operational and administrative teams Develop a deep understanding of landscaping and construction operations Build strong relationships across the organization Partner closely with local leadership to support accounting and financial operations Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies Long-Term Responsibilities Provide accounting oversight across multiple operating companies Support acquisition onboarding and integration activities Standardize accounting processes and financial controls Partner with operations leaders to identify challenges and implement solutions Support financial reporting, analysis, and operational decision-making Assist with software implementations and system transitions Hire, develop, and manage accounting support staff as the organization grows Serve as a key finance business partner to leadership teams
What We're Looking For:
Experience Approximately 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience Strong foundation in general accounting and financial reporting Experience within construction, landscaping, field services, or project-based industries strongly preferred Acquisition and integration experience highly desirable Percent-complete accounting experience is a significant plus Experience participating in ERP or software implementations preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Style & Mindset Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality Comfortable starting in the details before moving into a leadership role Solutions-oriented and proactive Strong business partner who can work effectively with operations teams High-energy professional who enjoys fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments Adaptable and comfortable navigating growth and change Strong communication and relationship-building skills Career Opportunity This role is ideal for an accounting professional who wants more than a traditional back-office position. You'll gain exposure to acquisitions, operational leadership, process transformation, and multi-entity accounting while helping shape the future of a growing regional business platform. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can make a visible impact, influence decision-making, and grow alongside a rapidly expanding organization, we'd love to hear from you.
