$75000/ Year About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our client's team in the financial services sector. In this role, you will contribute to leading the accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance and efficient accounting processes. Responsibilities Manage and supervise accounting staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and workflow oversight. Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and credit union regulatory requirements. Ensure accuracy of Call Report and other regulatory filings required by the NCUA and the Texas Credit Union Department. Develop, implement, and monitor internal accounting controls and procedures. Assist with internal audits, external audits, and regulatory examinations. Prepare reports for senior management as needed. Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, automation, and processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution. (Mandatory) 1 year of supervisory experience managing teams. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial institution accounting, and internal controls. Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or core processing systems. Credit check required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with credit union regulations and Call Report preparation preferred. Salary & Benefits (Optional)
