This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can lead core accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely financial reporting. The role calls for strong oversight of close activities, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly close process to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule. Oversee general ledger activity, reviewing transactions and maintaining the integrity of accounting records. Prepare and review journal entries, supporting proper classification and compliance with accounting standards. Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Coordinate audit support activities by organizing documentation and responding to requests related to financial statement reviews. Analyze financial data and identify issues that could affect reporting accuracy or close timelines. Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen accounting processes and improve day-to-day reporting efficiency. Demonstrated experience managing month-end close within an accounting environment that requires strong attention to detail. Strong working knowledge of general ledger structure, maintenance, and reporting. Hands-on background in preparing financial records for financial statement audits. Proven ability to complete account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy. Experience creating and reviewing journal entries in accordance with accounting best practices. Solid analytical skills with careful attention to detail and deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
