The Manager is responsible for directing all aspects of the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, and provides financial insight to support operational and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and a deep appreciation for the mission of behavioral health care Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cash management Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with executive leadership Monitor and maintain compliance with healthcare licensing, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, state/federal reporting, etc.) Manage annual audits, tax filings, and external financial reporting requirements Develop, implement, and enforce internal financial controls and accounting policies Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Familiarity with healthcare billing and payer reimbursement models (preferred) Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Commitment to the mission of mental health and substance abuse recovery
