Accounting Manager Layton, UT 84041 $70,000

  • Full-time We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic on-site Accounting Manager to support our finance operations.
We are looking for someone that will provide all our agents, shareholders and fellow work associates with friendly, helpful, and accurate customer service. They will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete accounting tasks in a timely manner. Experience in the preparation of financial statements in the real estate industry preferred (Real Estate, Title, Lending, Insurance) The ideal candidate will be able to work at our Layton office every day during operational hours (Monday
  • Friday, 9AM to 5PM), with minimal disruption.
Prior accounting experience and education, knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in computer software are required to be successful in this position. This position involves sitting, working with computers and other office equipment. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of accounting systems and ERP environments Advanced Excel and strong computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication High attention to detail and confidentiality Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries.
Perform various tasks including:
Agent file transaction closing, agent commission payments and processing daily wires and ACHS Monthly Financial Statements preparation for our various companies Serves as a key cross-functional partner across departments Performs other related duties as needed Delivering World-Class Service to our Agents!
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP) 5 Years of experience in accounting 3 Years of experience in administrative/office environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient with Office and accounting software programs Detail oriented with analytical skills Driven, self-motivated and goal-oriented Ability to maintain confidentiality
