Accounting Manager (TEMP-TO-HIRE)

Immediate Need CV Resources is partnering with a large manufacturing organization in Spanish Fork, Utah to identify an onsite Accounting Manager for its team. This is an immediate temp-to-hire need that will turn permanent if it's a good fit. This role sits within a stable, growing company with strong operational infrastructure and long-term career potential , offering exposure to a high-volume accounting environment and enterprise-level processes. It's an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into an Accounting Manager title —prior management experience is not required . The organization is open to candidates who have strong technical accounting experience, leadership potential, and the ability to support and guide AP/AR functions while growing into broader management responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, support month-end close, assist with SOX compliance activities, and partner cross-functionally to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and support daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting support staff, with room to grow leadership scope over time Coordinate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including documentation, training coordination, and control monitoring Support month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations Assist with internal and external audit requests and supporting documentation Track and support capital expenditure processes and approvals Strengthen and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures Partner with operations and cross-functional teams on financial initiatives and reporting needs Participate in process improvement and special projects Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong foundation in US GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with internal controls and exposure to SOX preferred Manufacturing experience strongly preferred ERP system experience required (Syteline a plus) Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required for the right Senior Accountant candidate with leadership readiness
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPA or CPA track preferred Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives Exposure to process improvement and operational accounting environments
