Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Partnership Development Lead to support our client in Mclean, VA. The Partnership Development Leader will serve as the consumer banking organization's champion for strategic partnerships, identifying, structuring, and executing enterprise-level agreements that expand membership, loan portfolios, and card adoption while working collaboratively with internal marketing and executive leadership teams Responsibilities of the Partnership Development Lead include:
  • Identify, source, and initiate strategic partnerships with large organizations, associations, and enterprises aligned to consumer lending and credit products
  • Design and execute a scalable partnership development playbook to drive sustained portfolio and membership growth
  • Negotiate and structure enterprise-level agreements supporting auto loans, personal loans, small business lending, and credit cards
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams to align go-to-market strategies without duplicating ownership
  • Engage executive stakeholders to shape long-term partnership strategy and growth priorities
  • Represent the organization externally with senior leaders at partner organizations, industry events, and strategic forums
  • Track and report partnership performance metrics tied to revenue, portfolio growth, and member acquisition Qualifications for the Partnership Development Lead include:
  • 10+ years of strategic partnership or business development experience within a financial services or lending-focused institution
  • Proven success building enterprise partnerships from finance-oriented organizations (e.g., large banks or credit unions)
  • Experience negotiating complex, multi-year partnership agreements at the executive level
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending, credit cards, and portfolio growth strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently while influencing senior executives and cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel periodically to Virginia or Texas for executive strategy sessions
  • Consultant mindset with interest in transitioning to full-time leadership role Compensation for the Partnership Development Lead includes:
Salary Range:
$180,000 - $195,000 depending on experience
