About the Role FTI Consulting's North America Core Accounting Team provides accounting support to our client service professionals and Segment Finance leadership in Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Forensic & Litigation Consulting, Technology, Economic Consulting, Strategic Communications and other Specialty Services so they are able to meet and exceed the needs of our clients. Accounting Professionals within the NACA team are dedicated to working together and delivering world class support across our global community. What You'll Do This position will primarily focus on the accounting for segment finance activities, primarily revenue recognition for segments. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of strong and practical working knowledge of
U.S. GAAP, SOX
compliance, and internal controls. This person will report to the Senior Director of North America Core Accounting and interact with segment finance leads for revenue recognition. Monthly Accounting Close Lead the North America monthly, quarterly, and year-end revenue accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting. Oversee review and approval of revenue journal entries, reconciliations, reporting packages, and supporting schedules. Review and evaluate sales contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment and revenue recognition impacts under ASC 606. Lead the assessment, calculation, and documentation of complex revenue reserves, estimates, and judgments. Oversee collectability assessments related to accounts receivable and work-in-progress balances and ensure proper accounting treatment. Review and approve SOX controls, risk assessments, and compliance documentation related to revenue accounting processes. Drive consistency in revenue and expense recognition practices across business units and legal entities. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accounting professionals. Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career development initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence. Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and operational inefficiencies; lead initiatives to improve scalability, automation, and accuracy. Partner with systems, finance transformation, and operational teams to enhance processes and reporting capabilities. Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits. Support other special projects and duties as directed by the North America Core Accounting Senior Director. What You Will Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications Minimum 8 years of relevant Accounting experience or Big Four experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred CPA Strong and practical working knowledge of
U.S. GAAP, SOX
compliance, and internal controls. Prior people leadership experience with managing and developing accounting teams. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive operational change. Advanced knowledge of Excel required; Ability to organize and analyze a large volume of data. Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy. Strong technical accounting and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when needed. Experience working with both domestic and international operating units preferred. Experience with ERP systems and large-scale financial reporting environments. #

$116,500
