Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee essential accounting functions for a textile manufacturing organization in Norfolk, Virginia. This position will direct financial close activities, maintain accurate consolidated reporting across multiple entities, and help uphold strong accounting governance in a fast-paced, internationally connected environment. The role also includes leading accounting staff, partnering with cross-functional teams, and delivering reliable financial information that supports business decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct monthly and year-end close activities to ensure accurate, timely reporting across the organization.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review core financial statements, including profit and loss reporting and balance sheet results.
  • Manage consolidation activities for multiple entities and monitor intercompany accounting to maintain accurate records.
  • Evaluate accounting treatment in accordance with applicable standards and ensure reporting practices remain compliant.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial analyses.
  • Coordinate audit support activities and strengthen internal control processes to promote financial integrity.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while setting clear expectations for performance and accuracy.
  • Work closely with operational, finance, and international business partners to support ongoing accounting and reporting needs.
  • Contribute to management reporting initiatives and assist with ad hoc finance projects as business needs evolve.
